The Norwich Energy Committee charge (approved by the Selectboard 6-27-18):
Make recommendations to the Selectboard regarding Town policy on energy-related matters. The NEC works with residents, businesses and the Town to promote energy education and awareness, reduce energy consumption, improve the efficiency of energy used, promote renewable energy generation, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions on both an absolute and per capita basis. In FY22 [July 2021 – June 2022], the NEC continued outreach and promotions to residents. The NEC launched an umbrella campaign, Electrify Everything, and encouraged households to make an action plan for emissions reductions, highlighting the range of effective climate actions and their interconnections. It was promoted through the NEC website, weekly listserv posts, printed literature, and outreach events, such as the NHS welcome event In September 2021. Home weatherization:
