6/7/16 Workshop: A Complete and Holistic Approach to Energy Efficiency
This workshop focused on taking a comprehensive look at home energy, starting with audits and weatherization, through efficient heating/cooling, plus solar power. Discussion included financing and rebates. Presentations from HEAT Squad, the Zero Energy Now program, Efficiency Vermont, and Green Mountain Power. Video of the workshop. 5/6/15 Heat Pump Workshop Cold-climate heat pumps cut costs and energy consumption by efficiently moving heat rather than making it. Heat pumps are extremely efficient in their operation. Because they run off electricity, in combination with residential solar, they offer a way to heat your home without fossil fuels.
4/8/15 Community Solar Forum The forum featured community solar developers, independent experts, and people who are already participating in community solar projects themselves. Kevin B. Jones of the Institute for Energy and the Environment at Vermont Law School gave an overview of Group Net Metering (GNM) and Community Solar, after which solar vendors introduced themselves, their company, and their offering, followed by Q&A.
